WEEK TWO
Mon Jan 13 - Start chapter 2 up to case study and survey methods of research, Alfred Kinsey and his research
Wed Jan 15 - Finish chapter 2 (sex research)
WEEK THREE
Mon Jan 20 - NO CLASSES - Martin Luther King Jr Day
Wed Jan 22 - Quiz over sex research (chapter 2) and start chapter 3 (female anatomy and physiology)
up to introitus (vaginal opening), hymen, vestibular bulbs, and Bartholin's glands
WEEK FOUR
Mon Jan 27 - Continue up to menarche, menopause, menstrual synchrony
Wed Jan 29 - Continue up to dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, toxic shock syndrome
WEEK FIVE
Mon Feb 3 - Continue up to breast structure: mammary glands, ducts, areola, nipples, suspensory ligaments
Wed Feb 5 - Continue up to breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment
WEEK SIX
Mon Feb 10 - Finish female chapter (3). Start male chapter (4) up to seminal vesicles, prostate, and Cowper's gland.
Wed Feb 12 - Continue up to erection, ejaculation, penis size
and Exam over Research (Chap 2) & Females (Chap 3)
NOTE: The exam will have 40 questions:
10 questions will be over chapter 2 (research)
and 30 questions will be over chapter 3 (females) and will include 10 picture-based questions
(11:59pm) today is also the deadline for the MINDTAP ACTIVITY
(Take the chapter 3 test after getting into the correct Mindtap course
using the course key mentioned in the final appendix to the syllabus)
and today is an opportunity to turn in an EXTRA CREDIT ESSAY
WEEK SEVEN
Mon Feb 17 - Continue up to prostate cancer treatment options
Wed Feb 19 - Finish male chapter. Start chapter 6 up to vasocongestion and myotonia
WEEK EIGHT
Mon Feb 24 - Finish chapter 6. Start chapter 5 (gender) up to gender, sex, chromosomes, genes
Wed Feb 26 - Participate in Breast Self Exam Exercise using breast models containing 4 lumps (5 points)
and Exam over Males (Chap 4) & Sexual Response Cycle (Chap 6)
15 questions will be over chapter 6 (sex response)
and 25 questions will be over chapter 4 (males) and will include 10 picture-based questions
and today is another opportunity to turn in an EXTRA CREDIT ESSAY
WEEK NINE
Mon Mar 2 - Continue chapter 5 (gender) up to DHT deficient males (5-alpha-reductase syndrome)
Wed Mar 4 - Continue up to the David Reimer story (the boy who was raised as a girl)
