Wed Jan 17 - Start chapter 2 up to survey method and Alfred Kinsey's research and findings

WEEK THREE
Mon Jan 22 - Continue up to end of chapter 2.
Wed Jan 24 - Start chapter 3 up to clitoris, hymen, female genital mutilation

WEEK FOUR
Mon Jan 29 - Quiz over Sex Research (Chap 2) and continue up to menarche
Wed Jan 31 - Continue up to events of the menstrual cycle, causes of dysmenorrhea

WEEK FIVE
Mon Feb 5 - Continue up to hysterectomy and oophorectomy
Wed Feb 7 - Continue up to breast self exam for cancer

WEEK SIX
Mon Feb 12 - Finish chapter 3. Go over questions on items from the study guide that students request help with.
Wednesday Feb 14 (11pm) - deadline for completing chapter 3 Test in MindTap - 5 points
(MindTap = textbook website available via purchased access code)
NOTE: Appendix D of my syllabus is all about using MindTap and includes the Course Key you will need
Wed Feb 14 - practice finding lumps in models of the breast (5 points),
turn in optional extra credit essays (See Syllabus Appendix C for instructions and topics for essays),
Exam over Research- (Chap 2) & Females (Chap 3)
10 questions from chapter 2 (research)
30 questions from chapter 3 (females) - including 10 picture questions to label with the correct names

WEEK SEVEN
Mon Feb 19 - Start chapter 4 (males) up to circumcision procedure
Wed Feb 21 - Finish chapter 4.

WEEK EIGHT
Mon Feb 26 - Continue up to Helen Singer Kaplan's model of the sexual response cycle, desire, and asexuality
Wed Feb 28 - Finish chapter 6. Start chapter 5 (gender) up to sex, gender, and chromosomes

WEEK NINE
Mon March 5 - Exam over Males (Chap 4) & Sexual Response Cycle (Chap 6)
Wed March 7 - Continue up to 5 different intersex conditions including 5-alpha-reductase deficiency.

SPRING BREAK
Mon March 12 - NO CLASS DUE TO SPRING BREAK
Wed March 14 - NO CLASS DUE TO SPRING BREAK

WEEK TEN
Mon Mar 19 - Continue up to transsexual surgery
Wed Mar 21 - Finish chapter 5. Start chapter 15 up to Chlamydia infections, PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease)

WEEK ELEVEN
Mon Mar 26 - Continue up to gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, HPV, hepatitis A, B, and C
Wed Mar 28 - Finish chapter 15 (STDs)

Fri Mar 30 - Withdrawal Deadline - Last opportunity to withdraw (will get a "W" grade)
after this date you will not be able to withdraw yourself

WEEK TWELVE
Mon April 2 - Start chapter 10 (Contraception) up to oral contraception: types, how they prevent pregnancy, benefits
Wed April 4 - Continue up to hormonal rings, hormonal patches, hormonal implants
NEW DATE FOR Exam over gender (Chap 5) and sexually transmitted infections (Chap 15)

WEEK THIRTEEN
Mon Apr 9 - Continue up to barrier methods (condoms, diaphragms, caps, sponges) and IUDs (Intra-Uterine Devices)
Wed Apr 11 - Finish chapter 10 (Contraception)

Mon Apr 16 - Discuss 10 concepts from the pregnancy chapter (chapter 11).
Wed Apr 18 - Watch documentary movie "Daddy & Papa" (there will be questions about it on the final exam).

Monday April 23 - 10:00am - 12:29pm
FINAL EXAM
Contraception (Chap 10) - 30 questions - definitely this entire chapter will be on the exam
& Pregnancy (Chap 11) - 10 questions - part of this chapter will be on the exam:
